Welcome to BookAura. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the BookAura mobile application ("App," "Service," or "we"). By downloading, installing, or using our App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our App.
Agreement Summary: By using BookAura, you agree to use the app for personal, non-commercial reading purposes, respect intellectual property rights, and accept our advertising-supported model.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using BookAura, you confirm that:
- You are at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction)
- You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations
- You have read and understood our Privacy Policy
2. Description of Service
BookAura is a mobile application that provides:
- Access to a library of eBooks and digital reading materials
- Ability to browse, search, and read books within the app
- Download functionality for offline reading
- Bookmark and favorites management
- Reading progress tracking
- Customizable reading experience (themes, languages)
3. User Responsibilities
3.1 Acceptable Use
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You shall NOT:
- Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on the App
- Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright or proprietary notices
- Use automated systems or software to extract data from the App
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality or servers
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App
- Redistribute, sell, or commercially exploit the App or its content
3.2 Content Usage
All content accessed through the App is for personal, non-commercial use only. You may:
- Read books within the App
- Download books for personal offline reading
- Save books to your favorites
You may NOT:
- Redistribute, share, or publish any downloaded content
- Use content for commercial purposes without authorization
- Claim ownership of any content provided through the App
4. Intellectual Property Rights
4.1 App Ownership
The App, including its design, features, functionality, and underlying technology, is owned by BookAura and protected by intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
4.2 Content Ownership
The books and reading materials available through the App may be:
- Public domain works freely available for reading
- Licensed content from publishers and authors
- User-generated or third-party contributed content
Respective copyright holders retain all rights to their content. We do not claim ownership of third-party content.
4.3 Trademarks
BookAura, our logo, and related marks are trademarks of BookAura. You may not use these marks without our prior written permission.
5. Advertising
The App is supported by advertisements provided by Google AdMob. By using the App, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Advertisements will be displayed during app usage
- Ad content is provided by third-party advertisers
- We are not responsible for advertised products or services
- You can manage ad preferences through the App's settings
- Rewarded ads are optional and provide enhanced features
6. Downloads and Offline Content
6.1 Download Rights
When you download books for offline reading:
- Downloads are for personal use on your device only
- Downloaded content remains subject to these Terms
- We may limit download availability at any time
- Downloads may require watching rewarded advertisements
6.2 Storage and Deletion
Downloaded content is stored on your device. You are responsible for managing your device storage. Uninstalling the App will delete all downloaded content.
7. Disclaimers and Limitations
7.1 "As Is" Service
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
7.2 Content Accuracy
We strive to provide accurate and quality content, but we do not guarantee:
- The accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content
- That content will be error-free or uninterrupted
- That defects will be corrected
- Continuous availability of any specific content
7.3 Third-Party Content
The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for third-party content, practices, or policies.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BookAura SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.
Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or the App shall not exceed the amount you paid to us (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless BookAura and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the App
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Any content you submit or transmit through the App
10. App Updates and Modifications
We reserve the right to:
- Update, modify, or discontinue the App at any time
- Add, change, or remove features without notice
- Require app updates for continued use
- Modify content availability
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination:
- Your right to use the App immediately ceases
- Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect
- You may delete the App and all associated data
12. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through:
- Good faith negotiation between the parties
- Mediation if negotiation fails
- Binding arbitration or court proceedings as a last resort
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Changes will be effective upon posting in the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms regularly.

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
15. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and BookAura regarding the use of the App.
